With too much small talk and lame inside jokes

In the wise words of Dylan Moran --- "Everybody shut up, this song is all about me!"

And that's totally what this week
felt like. My birthday was last Wednesday but I had not one, not two, not even 3....but 4 days of celebrating!! I may as well start at the beginning:

Wednesday
Ok so I got up that morning and as per tradition, my Dad put two birthday candles in my boiled egg. My Mum emailed the local radio station because they often do birthday requests and they pure read out what she sent in, which was pretty class. So then off I went to college. We were only in for an hour and a half anyway, so it was grand. Then I got my hair done in Peter Mark's and it turned out great. So I went home and had an amazing dinner with my parents. They decided to give me my presents there and then instead of Saturday, and I think I posted all about that in the previous entry so I'll spare you the boredom. Then my brother came home and all of a sudden there was a birthday cake! [we weren't actually meant to celebra
te until Saturday, because that's when the family celebration was] So the night ended nicely =]

Thursday
Fibbers was on Thursday night. I was incredibly excited about it because it was so long since we'd been and Rob informed me that a decent crowd were going. In the end, it was Me, Rob, Joey, Ste, Eavan, Brendan, Mark, Simon, Danny, Chri
s and two of Ste's friends. We took up the whole seating area in front of the dance floor! So I got my sash and tiara anyway and the night took off on a total high. Everyone was drinking, dancing and just having the buzz. At one point, Nat and Paddy came and Nat was like "21 kisses!!" and she kept getting random guys on the dance floor to give me a peck on the cheek. It was all grand, except one guys actually decided to take it a bit further and we shared a rather *ahem* interesting kiss. At first I was like "Eh, weirdo!" but then it happened a few more times and I changed my mind! It was going really well with him and everything was amazing, until I realised that some cunt stole my fucking bag. And, to make a very long story short, I got the bag back but my phone, mp3 player and camera were gone. It was a bit of a damper on such a deadly night, but sure I'm lucky enough to have the resources right now to replace what was stolen. I still had a ball regardless [thanks Rob&Joey!] ;)

Friday
So we make it to Friday, and after much con
fusion with a lack of phone numbers in the crummy handset I was using, we pulled our meal out to Acapulco together! It was great, because it meant that Rob and Joey could finally meet the others. I was a bit apprehensive that things would be awkward, but it couldn't have gone better.....except when Joey announced my drunken antics in Fibbers and brought up my "pulling pro" nickname that I had no idea about. Chimichangas were chomped on, deep fried ice cream was devoured and Hazel led a somewhat reluctant choir along to sing happy birthday to me, haha. We all had a deadly laugh. Me, Katie K, Sara, Katie T, Joey, Rob, Hazel, Stephen, Tara, Noreen, Eoghan and Noreen's boyfriend Lar was there too. I don't really know him that well, but he's in that band Adebesi Shank.

Saturday
After Acapulco, it was arranged that I would stay in Hazel's and then we'd head out to Dundrum bfore our family dinner that evening.
So we headed in at about 2 ish and I got my new phone [which is absolutely class, by the way!] and I also got some clothes in H&M with the voucher Tara got me. We had some Pizza Hut for lunch and I am now in love with that place! As part of my birthday present, Hazel booked me in to get my make-up done at the Benefit counter in BT2. That was great, the girl did it so well....I'm not normally arrogant or anything but when I walked out of the place, I really felt the whole "I'm kind of a big deal" going on. It was great. I got some of the makeup she used as well, so I can experiment with that now! =]

Just before we left to go home, my Mum rang and said that the pub had a leak from the bad weather the night before so they had to
move the lounge into the function room next door. [We had planned to go for a few drinks before going back to the house for the meal] I was like "Ah yeah, that's fine." So we went to Hazel's and got ready. I was going to wear my t-shirt and jeans because we were only going to the pub like, but Hazel said "I think you should wear your dress over your jeans because Mum would love to see you all done up!" I was like "Yeah ok, whatever" and we drove down to Kilcoole to the Mill Room.

As we walked by the pub, I noticd that there were actually people sitting in the lounge and thought "That's odd, it's open?" And I turned the handle to walk into the function room........

SURPRISE!!!!!!

Was all I heard. "What the fuck???!" Evvvvveryone was there! Like, I mean everyone! I was totally blown away. A fucking surprise party!
For me!! There was a DJ and everything. He even played Less Than Jake and Green Day for me! I mean, I still feel shocked. I had absolutely no idea. Even when the idea crossed my mind, it was always shot down. There was no way my parents would have the time for planning something like that. Like, my Mum rang all of my friends and they were all there! It was crazy. Everyone had an amazing time too...dancing, singing, drinking. Brilliant.

Soundtrack Of My Life and Mr. Che
vy Celebrity blaring out of the PA and being surrounded by the most important people in the world, all in the same room....that kind of feeling was just indescribable. I've never felt so happy in my entire life. Every single person I wanted to be there was there. =]

I think these pictures describe it the best.....

The rest of the pictures are on bebo/myspace.

BEST WEEK EVER!!!!
