2008

How fast did this year go by?! Seriously, I can't remember it being March or April at all!! It was a fantastic year in some ways, but not so fantastic in other ways.

If someone told me how 2008 panned out last January, I would have been totally blown away. Everything that felt quite certain, wasn't. I would have never known that I would pass my driving test later that year, or that I would actually get to see Less Than Jake play and meet them! These were all just fantasies back in January, I never thought they'd happen in the same year.

I travelled more in 2008 than I've ever done. Paris, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Hollywood, La Rochelle, Manchester. America was obviously the highlight of it all, it only made me love the country even more. I'm really itching to get back in summer 09 and hopefully it will come together. [ Florida this time? B) ]

If someone said that my relationship with my boyfriend was coming to an end back in January, I would have been like "Eh, what are you talking about?" But when it happened, it felt like I knew it was coming for ages. I might have lost that relationship, but I certainly gained new ones. I made friends with people who I didn't even know until July. And now I feel like I've known them for years and I finally made it to Fibbers. =]

2008 was also the year I FINALLY left Esso. [overjoyed!] I honestly thought I'd never get out of the place. Luckily, Superquinn came to the rescue. It's a much nicer place to work and the people are awesome. Wages are also better....double time every Sunday in December. Could it get any better?!

My Nana was sick for pretty much the last few years of her life. But when we were called into Loughlinstown last month, everyone actually thought that was it. Miraculously, she pulled through....but that was just her. Always defying the medical world. But last week was just so hard to comprehend. Even though she was so sick, it was such a shock to hear that she died...she was supposed to get better, she always did.

So 2008 was a year to remember. Most memorable has to be

- San Francisco/L.A. [May/June]
- Less Than Jake in Manchester [November]

And the song of 2008? Definitely Soundtrack Of My Life - Less Than Jake.
